Bath-based business Cross Manufacturing has recently acquired the former Bath & North East Somerset Council Highways Depot at Entry Hill, Bath.
Cross Manufacturing’s present facility in Midford Road is now at capacity and we are currently considering options for the re-use of the former depot and storage areas to facilitate our growing operations, while retaining and enhancing wildlife habitat on the majority of the site. This is at an early stage and any proposals for the re-use of the site will be subject to consultation with the local community in due course.
We will be undertaking maintenance of the site, including the installation of a new fence in liaison with immediate neighbours. This will include tunnels to allow the continued movement of badgers and other wildlife through the site.
Many of the ash trees on site are sadly showing various degrees of Ash Dieback disease. The council has felled several large trees along the boundary to Entry Rise and there are more that will need attention before they fall. Our tree expert is identifying which trees need urgent attention.
We will be updating this website over the coming months to provide more information about consultation as future plans for the reuse of the site take shape. In the meantime, if you have any queries about maintenance at the site, please contact our project team at info@entryhilldepot.com.
